In a recent California survey, 59% of independent repair shops said they might have to close their doors without the passage of Right to Repair.

EU Parliament backs 2035 end date for combustion engine cars (https://www.transportenvironment.org/discover/te-reaction-to-meps-vote-on-eu-clean-car-rules/) Choice quote: “The deadline means the last fossil fuel cars will be sold by 2035, giving us a fighting chance of averting runaway climate change. Phasing out combustion engines is also a historic opportunity to help end our oil dependence and make us safer from despots. Researcher David Mytton outlines how different ways of measure it can end up incentivising very different behaviour.
