PARKOUR
Zurich, 13.03.2026
As I started building the website, I realized I had to make a decision. Over the years, I have written dozens of papers, blogs, comments. I have recorded podcasts, talks. It is all over the place and it is in several languages — English, Spanish, French. It is a mess.
I then decided that I did not want an archive. Archives are good for crystal skulls and arks of the covenant. Not for ideas that are struggling to take shape.
But then what? The English word is curated list — but the word does not sound right. At least not to my Spanish ears. A French word came. Un parcours.
And then it hit me. Parkour! That is exactly what I want to build. Parkour athletes jump over walls, cross chasms, climb over fences. I admire them. They are nimble, they are fearless, they laugh at obstacles.
And this is what we can do with ideas. Jump from one topic to the other, bridge concepts, cross disciplinary divides.
I want to invite you to do parkour with me. Follow my thinking. Jump with me. If you are not comfortable yet, I'll go first and show you the way.

We will climb over the roofs of an imaginary city. A modern tower of Babel. The city of ideas. I only know a section of it. I have identified four districts so far. The Forest, where I started exploring. The Trail, where I started telling others what I had found. The Forge, where we design and build concepts. And the Forum, where these ideas are shared with everybody.
I have prepared five trails for you to follow. They cover the ground I've been exploring over the years. Here they are:
Forests & People — how we shape landscapes and how landscapes shape us.
Wicked Problems — the messes that resist clean solutions.
Strategy Games — how people make decisions and can we change the rules.
Theory of Mind — how we think about thinking, and why that changes everything.
Planet C — an entry point. Transitions, justice, and why we are often wrong about ourselves.
Each trail crosses districts. Each one connects to the others. In the next letter, I'll take you on the first run.
For now, let's stop here. Let's sit and watch this city of ideas glimmering at our feet. All the places we can go. Can you feel it? The joy of thinking together.
