Join the Collective Loss Adaptation Project (CLAP) for a hybrid art and grief workshop with the Disability Cultural Center (DCC) and Senior and Disability Action (SDA) on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 3-5p PT / 6-8p ET. Together, we’ll process our collective grief and decorate masks in honor of disabled losses (including deaths, non-death losses, and other life changes) that will be used in a future art installation honoring disabled grief in the COVID pandemic. Register by Sunday, August 24, 2025 at dcc.page/clap.

The in-person workshop will be at the Disability Cultural Center at 165 Grove St in San Francisco, CA. Masks are required for all who can wear them, and there will be a quiet room / low-stimulus space available. For more information on directions and access supports for the Disability Cultural Center, visit the Visit and Access pages of their website. The virtual workshop will be hosted on Zoom. ASL interpretation with Deaf interpreters and live captioning via Streamtext will be provided for both in-person and virtual participants.

All mask decorating supplies are provided, and materials for low-dexterity and scent-free access needs are available. Please indicate whether you would like a basic, low-dexterity, or scent-free art kit when you register. In-person registrants will have art kit materials mailed to the Disability Cultural Center, and U.S.-based virtual registrants will have art kit materials mailed to the address they provide in the registration form. If you want to attend but register after the Sunday, August 24, 2025 deadline, you are welcome to join using your own materials.

More information about the workshop, including registration, mask decorating kit materials, and access details can be found at dcc.page/clap. If you have additional questions, please email clapinformation@gmail.com.
