David Pang has photographed Australian skateboarding since the late 1980s, charting its rise and documenting international greats and fearless locals in the national capital and its many famous spots, including Spence drains, Kambah halfpipe, the Belco Bowl, and the heritage-listed Erindale banks.

Pang is a much-loved Canberra legend. 60/Sixty is a play on the skateboard trick 50/50, marking Pang’s 60th birthday and limiting his selection to sixty images from his enormous archive. His work is known internationally, including many features in American magazine Thrasher.

The huge display of original paintings and sculpture on skateboard decks includes artists ABYSS.607, ATUNE, BASIX, Joel Bliss, BYRD, Angus Comyns, Thom Crowhurst, HOUL, JINX, KID PARIS, Mosaic Mofos, MERS, ODYSE, PAW, SETLER, Sweigz and TEAZER.

Curated by Sancho’s Dirty Laundry and Civic Art Bureau.
