CircuitPython Day 2026 + show updates

Hello CircuitPythonistas!

Below is a copy of an email I shared with subscribers to The Bootloader's newsletter. Stay to the end for a sneak peek of the next couple of guests of The CircuitPython Show.

It’s been almost a year since I’ve last written (shame on me!) and Tod and I have a couple of exciting things to share.

First, CircuitPython Day 2026 will be Friday, August 21st. Tod and I will be hosting a LIVE edition of The Bootloader on the Adafruit YouTube channel at 3pm EST / 12pm PST. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite CircuitPython projects, features, and more from the last year. If you can’t make it then, we’ll offer a special replay as August’s podcast episode.

Second, you can now join our Discord server! Tod and I will answer questions, share interesting things, and more. We also have a special channel for our sponsors.

Third, you can now join the Supporter tier and sponsor the show for only $5 / month. You can sponsor the show on GitHub or via Stripe, which accepts all credit cards and Apple Pay. Help keep the show ad-free!

As a thank you, Supporters have the following perks:

  • Public thank you on the Support page
  • Personal RSS feed with early access to The Bootloader, The CircuitPython Show, or both
  • Supporter only Discord channel
  • Monthly livestream Q&A / AMA with Tod and Paul

To learn more about how to support the show, including how much it costs to run the show, visit circuitpythonshow.com/support.

Thank you for your support and be one of the first to hang out with us in Discord!

For reading until the end, here is a sneak peek at the next couple of guests:

  • August 10th: Tod Kurt returns and shares how to build your own custom CircuitPython firmware using only GitHub actions
  • August 24th: Scott Shawcroft, CircuitPython's lead developer, returns to the show and discusses the Zephyr port, hardware in the loop testing, a look back at the last ten years of CircuitPython, and more.

Until next time, stay positive!

—Paul
