Thanks to all our members and supporters, we are entering an important period of organizational growth and development. We are building the systems, relationships, membership base, financial resources, and community governance structures required to sustain long-term democratic, community ownership of land in Chinatown.
We are seeking a Co-Director, Operations. This is a senior, hands-on role in a small and evolving organization. Our currently Managing Director will evolve into Co-Director and both roles will be accountable to our board jointly.
You can support our hiring working group in our search process by sharing this job posting as widely as you can, and considering it yourself. We hope and know that many eligible candidates are among our own membership.

We are excited to share that Great China Herbs is here to stay. They are open for business at 401 Dundas Street.
They are and continue to be the longest operating Chinese clinic, pharmacy and herb store in Chinatown, beginning in our First Chinatown and relocating west after our displacement.
A couple weeks ago, we shared that Kim had decided to close their Dundas storefront. After overwhelming community support and response to this news, worker-owner Kim was very touched and has decided to extend their stay.
There will more to share this fall and winter about what made this possible, new things coming to the store, and all the community love that carried worker-owner Kim, her family and her chosen family in Toronto's Chinatown to this point.
Some things you can do to support:
Share this news and celebrate far and wide! Let's not cause any loss of business due to outdated information circulating!
Go visit the shop for a consultation, or just a quick remedy for your incoming autumnal sore throats (we recommend the mini watermelon powder squeeze bottles by the cashier for $7).
Leave a google map review for the store with as much love as you can!
Great China Herbs:
