January
In 2025 I had the opportunity to sell art at fairs and markets- it was incredibly meaningful and memorable (you all are so charming and kind!). Meeting people who appreciate my work has been a gift, there’s a lot of discomfort in what I’ve chosen to share of myself over the years- an entire book inspired by death and grief that also touches upon my bipolar diagnosis. I’m proud of what I’ve made but it doesn’t go without vulnerability. Meeting people in-person who have sweet relationships with the book (or anything I’ve made) has been grounding and inspiring. If we met this winter and you shared kind words- Thank you for taking the time to talk with me.
⬬ So Many Ways to Draw a Ghost is currently sold out, a 2nd edition with small edits + two new pieces is being proofed for printing as I write, I will hopefully have printed copies by mid February. I did make a digital download option.
🎨 I’ve been asked before about my art practice/process so I thought I would start sharing a little bit each month Here’s my first BTS (behind the scenes):
As long as I can remember I’ve kept boxes of inspirational material and reference images— postcards, quotes, photocopies from library books, letters, photos, artists prints, torn images from magazines- anything that sparks something in me. Images or words that light me up:

Every few months I empty a bulletin board in my studio, go through my inspiration box and pin up the things I’m excited by. Here is the empty board:

And the fresh board:

That’s it for behind the scenes, here’s a few other things:
❤️ In closing out the 2025 fiscal year and doing my numbers- We (me + everyone who bought a print) were able to collectively send my friend Yazan in Gaza $8500 for him and his family. The prints are from a painting I made in October 2023. Thank you to everyone who bought a print. This is an ongoing offering and will always be available in my shop.
🌿 People have asked me for a long time to make prints from the Dirt Gems Botanical Oracle deck I illustrated many years ago. Here’s my first try at printing a few cards. 8x10 $25/each.

That’s it for January. If you think someone might appreciate this email, please forward it or send this link.
With love and care, Chelsea
Ps. If you have any questions about my art process, materials, etc, feel free to reply directly to this email and I’ll try to answer in a future one.
