Back from the Dead: The Chef Menteur Newsletter
If you’re getting this, chances are you’ve somehow had the same email for a long time, because the last email went out in 2013 (sent from “Backporch Revolution News”), and it got too difficult to maintain an emailer in the era of mass spam.
So, I hope you don’t mind getting this email out of nowhere. If you do, feel free to unsubscribe, with our sincere apologies. (Folks that got our music on Bandcamp have had the option to get our updates through there, too so you don’t need to be subscribed both ways.)
Otherwise, and we hope you get this in time as tis is very LAST MINUTE: you may wish to know we have a gig down here in New Orleans tonight, Saturday Jan 17.

Chef Menteur, now including Court Batson on bass and Philip Cooper on keys along with Alec Vance and Dan Haugh, will be playing FIRST this time, at around 9PM, again at the Holy Diver, one of our favorite places to play our present version of garage-psych-drone (post-)rock. We will be followed by Caldwell, which is the solo project of Kevan Caldwell (formerly of the Planchettes), with a full band presenting some lovely retro-inspired tunes of his own, and Get Dressed who are also from New Orleans, and will appeal to fans of 80s-90s indie punk.
Doors are at 8PM, and the cover charge is $10. Ages 21 and over. Address: 1200 St. Bernard Ave., New Orleans.
More questions? You can catch up with us online at https://www.chefmenteur.org where you can find links to our music on Bandcamp, past shows on our Blog page, our social media and all sorts of other things that we have been up to since you last got an email from us.
