Another Gig this Saturday! And other news.

Chef Menteur is back at Holy Diver in New Orleans on March 14 with 2 more local bands: Spaghetti Heist plays soundtrack, lounge and exotica music, featuring Paul Grass of Egg Yolk Jubilee. And the Brewing Means is vintage indie rock featuring veterans of Big Blue Marble and Mahayla. Come on out and feast on the music.

Saturday, March 14!

At the last gig at Holy Diver, Dan set up his computer phone behind his drums, so if you want an interesting almost-behind-the-scenes, drum-heavy perspective of what we sound like now, at least on one song, check this out.

Dan also wants you to know that he (with several of his musical inventions) also recently did an experimental ambient/noise night as one-half of Secret Knock at the Nola ‘Nacular gallery for Twin Peaks Day*, which you can listen to here if you find yourself lacking in creepy noises:

Finally, Dan says that he will be playing drums for Baxter No One in Oklahoma City on March 27.

other non-Dan band-member news: Court will be playing his new Rickenbacker 4003 bass for the first time live this weekend. Philip was hoping his mom would be in town but she is visiting a different week. And Alec is waking up in the middle of the night to another N.O. water main break.

Finally, our new, simplified homepage has links to all the important stuff, like where to get our music, gigs and other news.

Hope to see you on Saturday!

(*) Twin Peaks related trivia: Our very first web site mentioned being inspired by the music of Twin Peaks, and Grace Zabrieski, the actress that played Laura Palmer and New Orleans native, found it and asked us to send her a CD. She said she was a fan and played it at her shop!
