The tech behind my first long-form generative art project

Hello and happy 23/2/23.

I'm gearing up to release my first generative art NFT project (!!!) Ceramics but I'm not quite ready to share a release date yet. I am told that I should 'hype it up' though, so in accordance with that I'm writing a series of deep-dive blog posts on how I created Ceramics. We're talking colours, textures, vector fields, hand-writing, feature selection, compression, all the nitty gritty technical stuff.

Here's the first post, I hope you like it!

Creating carved surfaces using three.js

This is all about how I made the 3D surface effect in Ceramics with three.js, featuring lots of interactive demos.

In other not-news, in preparation for this drop I've been fleshing out my website, including making project pages for Hexatope and Abstract Puzzles. Even though both of them end with 'uhh I had to stop this even though I didn't want to', I'm proud of what I made and it was nice to reflect on that.

I hope you are happy and healthy and I'll see you with my next post soon.
