Hi all,
Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Excited to announce tickets are live for AGON, my new short play that is premiering at La MaMa as part of the Downtown Urban Arts Festival. Come see us June 10th at 7:30pm! (It’s a double bill & my play is scheduled second, so will likely start by 8:30p.)

Tickets are $25, but please reach out to me if this is cost prohibitive; I have a limited amount of discount codes and will do my best to accommodate you.
About AGON: The first Black male artistic director of a leading NYC ballet company is pitched by VOGUE to interview a controversial, retired Black prima ballerina. The two hash out their resentment toward each other and their cutthroat industry in this sharp study of artistic ownership, mentorship, and the costs of Black excellence.
Written and directed (!) by Charlene Adhiambo
Starring Justine Hall and Murphy Lorenzo Applin Jr.
Movement Dramaturgy by Sophia Halimah Parker
Scenic/Props Design by Gabby Irving
Produced by Brissa Lopez
Production Stage Managed by Meraly Morales-Tula
