Book Review: Staff Engineer by Will Larson
Hello!
Today I posted my thoughts on a book I recently finished reading: Staff Engineer: Leadership beyond the management track by Will Larson. This book is an excellent resource and I expect I will be referring to it for years to come.
In May, my family and I visited the four-corners region of the U.S. on an extended vacation. We toured various national parks like Mesa Verde, Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. We also visited Sedona, Arizona before we flew home. It was a fantastic last-minute trip. I primarily read this book during my vacation, and it gave me food for thought as we drove. It was my first trip in a while where I didn’t even take a laptop with me. My daughter Avery appreciated that!
My blog hasn’t changed much since last writing. I did tweak the block quote font so that it is less “in your face”… hopefully that helps! I’m planning to make some small improvements in the coming months, which I’m tracking in the issues of my source repository. If you ever notice anything funky or have a feature request, feel free to submit an issue.
So! Check out my review of the Staff Engineer book, as well as the accompanying material on the official website, and let me know what you think! You can send me a note @chadmcelligott, reply to this email, or join the conversation on Twitter or LinkedIn.
Until next time! 👋
