Local government activity:

  • The development of Centre County's Active Transportation Plan is getting ready to kick off. If you want to follow and provide input, visit the Centre County Active Transportation Plan webpage. Soon a survey will be available but in the meantime you can click on the 'Tell Us What You Think' box and provide input. If you leave your email, you will be notified when the survey is released and about pertinent information.

  • The GET Solar Centre Region Program application period has been extended until November 30th. If you know of a business or organization that wants to learn about the benefits of solar, please tell them about this free technical assistance and financial guidance. We have several organizations who have joined the program. The link includes registration information for the next webinar on November 16 @ 12pm.

  • The Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority is pleased to announce that they are accepting applications for the 2024 Centre County Green Business Partnership Program. Please share with local businesses and organizations that are doing an outstanding job of reducing, reusing and recycling.

  • Thanks to the League of Women Voters and everyone who participated in the Sustainable Centre County Happy Hour on October 11. We had 110 people register for the event and approximately 75 attend.
