Are you looking for other community members to take action with? Consider joining the Community Stewardship Network for the year! You will receive free training about how to connect, inspire, and educate our community about the local Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. We will have workshops, demonstrations, tabling opportunities, and other great interactive engagement opportunities with the community. Sign up by February 14th!
Long Range Transportation Survey - Do you have a transportation concern you would like to voice? The Long Range Transportation Plan update is underway and looks at existing conditions and future needs in the Centre County transportation system. We welcome input on multi-modal, roadway, traffic and other issues. Submit a Transportation Concern by March 14.
PPA Approved: Ten government entities have approved participation in the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The PPA allows for the entities to receive roughly 77% of its collective electricity from a solar project planned for construction in Centre County. The PPA provides stability in budgeting, projects cost savings, and adds renewable energy to the PA electric grid.
Patton Fire Station - Energy Efficiency Grant Awarded: The station received a $50,000 grant to obtain a Level 2 commercial energy audit, conduct a solar feasibility study and complete design work for any of the approved recommendations.
