Hello friends!

Happy 4th of July to the Americans in the room! And to everyone, really. It's just a bigger deal here.
Hope you had a great week! I personally did some hiking this past weekend and have lost the ability to move without groaning like an old woman. But enough about how attractive I am. Let's learn!

Something that interested me this week

Since we have this mid-week lull because of the 4th of July, I've taken the time to finish up some small bugs in projects I've been working on, and I also did a fun non-coding project: I made some products with mechanical keyboard switches on them! I drew the switch in pencil a while back and have been wanting to do something with it. So, I took a picture of it with my phone, stuck it in Adobe Illustrator, traced the image, and then made a pattern out of it (which involved reading many tutorials, I'd never done that before)! I colorized it in Photoshop and then made some resized and custom versions for the different products I wanted, and then stuck it on Society6 (this is a referral link, sorry, but hey, it gets you $10 to spend). I doubt I'll make any cash on this project (I didn't mess with pricing at all), but it'll be fun to see if people end up buying anything! Feel free to share the link above with friends who might want some switches in their lives. :)

Interview question of the week

Last week's question was an interesting one about filling spaces with water. Eva submitted a fun solution!

This week's question:
Write a function that returns the longest number in a string.

Example:
longestNum('cassidy543is000always12091so232hungry')
> 12091

Alright friends, have a great week, and talk to you soon! Be safe, make good choices, and remember to sit up straight.
