Something that interested me this week

This past weekend I went on a short astrophotography trip! I had never done it before and it was really cool. We went to Hurricane Ridge and pointed our cameras at the sky with a ~30 second exposure, and got beautiful results! I had never seen so many stars before, and getting photos of it was a really cool experience. I had never done it before, and can’t wait to try again sometime!

Interview question of the week

Last week, I had you sort strings based in distinct characters in a word. Nice work Gonzalo, Tamás, Melody, Julian, Eleanor, Stuart, Alberto, Stephen, Gabor, Ten, Collin, Dylan, Antonio, Étienne, and Kyle!

This week’s question:
There are x lions, y tigers, z leopards, and w panthers. Find the number of ways to place them on a line such that no two same animals are adjacent to each other (assume w, x, y, and z are <= 50).

I have a fear of negative numbers… I’ll stop at nothing to avoid them!

That’s all for now, folks! Have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and clean up your inbox!
