Hey friends!

I hope your first week of January was a good one! I feel like it was a slow start to the year for me, but it was relatively chill, at least. Let's gooo!

Something that interested me this week

The past couple weeks were really fun milestones-wise with our baby (who's already 8.5 months old now, time flies)! She's started crawling, pulling herself up, grabbing food, playing peek-a-boo, and as of the past 48 hours, waving! It's so amazing to see how she learns things and figures things out, and seeing what's interesting to her.

Back in September I interviewed a very cool artist on the Stack Overflow podcast who was interested in the concept of "childlike wonder" in his work, and I think about that all the time as I see my baby laugh at flags or stare intently at zippers. She's seeing so many things in all of their detail for the first time, and I love watching her take it all in!

Interview question of the week

Last week, I had you print "Happy new year!" without using the character literals in the string. It was super fun seeing the different answers! Great work Felix, Fran, Altamish, Tawseef, Ten, Muhammad, Miguel, Carlos, Arban, Neil, and Austin!

This week's question:
You have an array of letters. Return the number of possible sequences of letters you can make using the letters in the array. Extra credit: print the sequences!

Example:

> letters(['X'])
> 1

> letters(['A', 'A', 'B'])
> 8 // "A", "B", "AA", "AB", "BA", "AAB", "ABA", "BAA"

That's all for now, folks! Have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and don't let your screen time get too high!
