Hey friends!
I hope your week was a good one! Mine was packed full of meetings, but I’m spending a bunch of time with family now, which is a nice mental reset. Let’s surf!

I am SUPER thrilled to share that Scrabble keycaps that I designed are back on sale after 4+ years! You can get them on Clackeys here!
I first designed these caps nearly 5 years ago now, and being able to get this back out there for a V2 is a dream. This version has updated fonts and colors to match the board game branding more precisely, desk mats in a couple colors, metal artisans, and a Scrabble bag kit so you can play your favorite word game with your favorite pieces of plastic!
Also this week, the latest episode of The Dev Morning Show (at night) came out with Dalia Abo Sheasha! She and my co-host Zach and I actually went to college together, and even though we all overlapped there, we ended up in very different places in the industry. Check it out!
Also, to the Americans here, have a happy Thanksgiving week.
Hey all, Warp team here!
Warp is a blazingly fast, Rust-based terminal reimagined from the ground up to work like a modern app. We’ve made command input more familiar and usable by building a full-fledged editor in the terminal that supports all of your favorite keyboard bindings alongside multiple cursors and selection. Warp also groups a command and its output into a “block” that makes it easier for you to navigate, copy, save, and share units of work. On top of that, we’ve enabled faster command entry through AI-assisted command search and shareable templated workflows for hard-to-remember commands.
This week, we’re announcing the launch of our IDE-style terminal input. Just like your IDE, Warp now has native syntax highlighting, error underlining, hover to peek definitions, intelligent command corrections, and upgraded inline command completions similar to IntelliSense.
Warp works with bash, zsh, and fish and requires zero config – plus it’s completely free and available today on Mac. Download Warp here!
Last week, I had you combine strings in an array! Great job Varun, Andy, David, Ten, Leyan, Tamás, Nate, Will, Jun, Kareem, Saad, Amine, Mykal, Miguel, Raymond, Les, Hristiyan, Max, Muhammad, Max, and Cedric!
This week’s question:
Write a function that takes a string of slashes (\
and /
) and returns all of those slashes drawn downwards in a line connecting them.
Example:
$ verticalSlashes('\\\//\/\\')
\
\
\
/
/
\
/
\
\
$ verticalSlashes('\\\\')
