Hey friends!
I hope your week was a good one! Mine was fun and full of playing video games and playing with my Polywork profile!

I’ve mentioned it in the past, but I’ve been advising the startup Polywork for the past several months! It’s been a really great learning experience for me, and also it’s been so fun helping them update and shape the platform.
If you’re not sure what Polywork is, it’s all about sharing the work that you do that’s not just a part of your job title. So for example on my profile, I share everything from the talks that I give, to keycaps I’ve designed, to workshops I’ve taught. I still have more to add, but it’s great having a place to put everything.
Right now Polywork has a waitlist, but they have many updates and open spots coming everyday! I’ll be sure to share invite codes more as I get them.
This week’s sponsor is Contentful!
Contentful is a content platform that lets you create, manage and distribute content to any channel. Unlike a CMS, we give you total freedom to create your own content model so that you can design one that fits your needs. You can deliver your content anywhere you want — whether you’re creating websites, mobile apps or a completely new type of program — using REST, GraphQL or our SDKs.
Sounds great! How do I get started? Check out our latest tutorial project: “Using Contentful and GraphQL in five ways.” Our developer evangelist Shy Ruparel thought using GraphQL outside of JavaScript was going to be tricky. When he spent time with the Contentful GraphQL API, he realized that he had a few misconceptions about how GraphQL worked. With time and teammates that gently pointed out his mistakes, he learned that all you needed to make a GraphQL query was a HTTP request. Take a look at how you can query data in different languages and see how easy it is to use the Contentful GraphQL API.
Last week, I had you rotate a string of brackets until it was balanced. Great work David, Leyan, Mark, Les, Jean-François, Rafael, Ben, Ivana, Szabolcs, Jay, Bassam, Thomas, Elliot, and Ten!
This week’s question:
Given a positive or negative real number, round it to the next whole integer closer to zero. This means if it’s positive, round down, and if it’s negative, round up. Try to do this in as few characters possible!
Test cases:
1.7 => 1
-2.1 => -2
500.4 => 500
-369.5 => -369
150 => 150
-350 => -350
