Something that interested me this week
This week (and for the past few weeks), I was looking forward to this weekend for one big reason: The Seattle Mechanical Keyboards meetup. Yesterday was the big day. And oh, was it big. Over 300 people RSVPed to the biggest Seattle meetup yet! People flew in from all over the country (and even outside of it!) to be there. There were raffles, people brought a ton of boards to try out, there was a photo booth, there were talks from really influential people in the community, and a lot of fun people to meet. I had a total blast. I know it's a nerdy hobby (reminds me a lot of this XKCD comic), but I absolutely love the creativity and excitement around these functional (emphasis on FUN) devices. If you're at all interested in keyboards, I recommend heading over to the subreddit for the community and check out when the next meetup is in your area!
