Something that interested me this week
I have news, I have news!
This is my last week at Amazon. I've enjoyed getting to work (
and stream) with my sister, meet interesting people, and help make Alexa better for skill developers out there. That being said, I've missed coding and the web community a ton, and being on a smaller team.
So, announcement! I'm going to be joining
CodePen as a senior software engineer later this month!! I am SO excited to be a part of a brilliant team that is building a place on the internet that I love. CodePen has been a dream company for me for a long while, and I can't wait to get started. I'll still be living in Seattle and speaking a bunch, and will be
making a lot more Pens that show off what CSS can do. :)
Woo hoo!

Interview question of the week
We had a bunch of great answers again this week! I asked you to merge some arrays and y'all were able to
sort it out pretty quickly.
Here's the responses (click each word to see them)!
And Andrew gave a cool Python one liner!
sorted([i for x in arr for i in x])
This week's question:
Implement a function that determines if someone has won a game of tic-tac-toe. The tic-tac-toe "board" can be in any format you prefer.
Bonus question:
Code up a tic-tac-toe game to test your algo out!

Joke
At a hotel restaurant, a man named Joe sees an attractive woman sitting alone at the next table.
Suddenly, she sneezes, and a glass eye comes flying out of her head. It hurls past Joe, and he snatches it from the air and hands it to her.
"This is so embarrassing," she says she pops her eye in place. "I'm sorry to have disturbed you. Let me buy dinner to make it up to you." He agrees.
The woman is an excellent conversationalist, pretty, and Joe finds they have a lot in common. He says, "You are the most charming woman I've ever met. Are you like this with every guy you meet?"
"No," she answers, "You just happened to catch my eye."
(Cassidy's addition: where did you come from, where did you go, where did you come from caught-an-eye Joe)
Â
That's all for now! Hope you have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and stay hydrated.
