Something that interested me this week

This week we had a team offsite! Our whole company (there's 8 of us) gathered and did some hackathoning, roadmap planning, and playing board games together. It was so fun but SO tiring.

I pumped out a blog post on co-authoring Git commits as a result! It's fun being able to pair program with folks and give them credit for their ideas, too.

I'll be sure to shout about some of the stuff we built this week soon, too. We've got some cool stuff cooking!

Sponsor

This week's sponsor is Contenda!

...Yes I do work at Contenda but LISTEN UP: Contenda helps you turn your expertise into content, faster.

With Contenda Studio, you can take videos, podcast episodes, articles, transcripts (and more) and turn it into written content in your voice.

I personally think better when I talk things out, so I often will record myself talking about a subject, and use Contenda Studio to help me write a blog in a more coherent way. I also use it to turn my conference talks into more SEO-friendly content on socials!

It's free for your first 6 ingestions, and you can get unlimited outputs from those (and it's only $20 for 100 ingestions, which... is a lot).

Interview question of the week

Last week, I had you make a guessing game! There's some really creative answers, awesome work Rob, Karthick, Jonnie, Adnan, Usman, Clifford, Cicero, Dimitris, Miguel, Kyle, Anirban, Towseef, Neil, Laurynas, Alvin, Manuel, Andrew, Raymond, Craig, Alison, Chris, Sreetam, Ten, and Phil!

This week's question:
Given a sequence of numbers, generate a "count and say" string.

Example:

> countAndSay(112222555)
> "two 1s, then four 2s, then three 5s"

> countAndSay(3333333333)
> "ten 3s"
