Hello friends!
I hope you had a great week. I had a busy one with Next.js Conf and other work stuff (and spooky things), and ended up taking off a couple days to catch up with everything.
Americans, make sure you vote this week! Onwards!

This past week I spoke at Next.js Conf! It was a little hectic getting prepared for it, but I’m glad we made it through.
This week, if you’re in the United States, please, VOTE. Make a plan, and let’s make change happen.

We have exciting opportunities to join our Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery software engineering team in sunny South Florida. Of course, we offer virtual work-from-home options during this unique time and there is flexibility even when it safe for all to be in the office. Watch this video to hear directly from Amanda, our Senior Director of Robotics Software Development, and the hiring manager for some of these roles.
Thanks for sponsoring, Stryker!
Last week, I had you sort integers based on the number of 1s in their binary representation. Amazing job Vanessa, William, Roman, Rafael, Roberto, Leslie, John, Jay, David, Clov, Rizwan, Sam, Nicolas, Timur, Dhanush, Andrew, Duncan, Lenz, Mike, Matteo, 40arc, Jeff, Jonathan, Randy, Bill, Pozorvlak, and Ten!
This week’s question:
You have a character who jumps forward n number of units at a time, and an array representing the road in front of them (where 0 is a flat piece of road, and 1 is an obstacle). Return true or false if your character can jump to the end without hitting an obstacle in front of them.
Examples:
$ characterJump(3, [0,1,0,0,0,1,0]) $ true // no hits $ characterJump(4, [0,1,1,0,1,0,0,0,0]) $ false // hits obstacle at position 4
