Something that interested me this week

Gosh, it’s hard to believe it’s been 6 years since starting this newsletter, and I am so grateful to you for being here and reading along with me each week!

If you’d like to enter in the raffle for all the great prizes here (huge thanks to all the folks who are offering them!), please fill out this form by Thursday at noon, Central Time to get an entry!

And just once again: Thank you so much for being here. It makes my day to see replies and messages and tweets and toots and carrier pigeons from people that enjoy reading this, and seeing you share it with others.

Also as a quick (mic drop?) side note: I’m super pregnant, and due this month! If you see some repeated interview questions or links over the next few weeks… that’s why. Woo hoo!

DevCycle is a feature flag platform designed for devs who like clean code.

“But feature flags just cause more tech debt,” I hear you say.

And normally, you’d be right about that… but DevCycle is different! 💅

Get the benefits of feature flags, without the tech debt. Track detailed usage and clean up flags and features that are no longer needed. DevCycle is like Marie Kondo, but for your code! ✨

If your current feature flag system doesn’t spark joy, check out DevCycle.

Interview question of the week

Last week, I had you roll some dice based on dice notation! There were some fun responses to this one! Great job Greg, Zoé, Robin, Miguel, Chase, Saad, Austin, Ciprian, Alvin, Dan, Christian, Chris, Daniel, Danny, Ángel, Muhammad, and Holger!

This week’s question (kind of a funky one for a fun day):
Write a program that prints the amount of characters its source has in English words. So a program that is 44 characters long would output “forty four” and a program that is 108 characters long would output “one hundred eight”.

What did one tectonic plate say to the other when they bumped into each other?
“Oh oops, my fault!”

That’s all for now, folks! Have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and thank you for being here!
