Gosh, what a week. I’m not sure if y’all were following the SVB bank run news and all of the chaos around that, but between it and other pressing deadlines, I was kind of a ball of stress this week. Whew. That being said, it seems (?) like things are looking up, thank goodness!
In other news, I had a really fun time setting up a new desk this week! It’s an L-desk so I’ve been able to spread out my crap take advantage of the space with crafting and more. I’m super happy with it so far!
Also, we had our finale episode of The Dev Morning Show (at night) come out this week! We laughed a lot recording this one, please enjoy the bloopers and me cringing at my past. And don’t worry: we’re hoping to have a season 2 come out later this year!

Last week, I had you scramble up the insides of words! This was tougher than I expected, and y’all did awesome work (I had fun seeing the variety in the responses)! Great job Nate, Alfonso, Miguel, Fraol, Ángel, Saad, 413, Muhammad, Dapo, Kyle, Ten, David, Chris, Robin, Chase, Will, Alessandra, Phil, Teddy, Christian, Carine, Hristiyan, Josef, Max, Nick, Holger, Daniel, and Alberto!
This week’s question (thanks Tom!):
Write a function that can do the 4 basic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) on two fractions. Return the most simplified form of the result. You can assume a non-zero denominator in the input, and don’t use any built-in implementations in your language of choice, if you can!
Example:
> fractionMath("3/4", "add", "3/4")
> "3/2"
> fractionMath("1/8", "multiply", "2/2")
> "1/8"

“Pre” means before, and “post” means after, so to use both at the same time would be preposterous!
That’s all for now, folks! Have a great week. Be safe, make good choices, and fix your posture!
