New event: Toon Hall IX
Hello intelligent mailing list,
Fresh off the heals of our successful animation social, I'm excited to tell you (with more than two weeks of notice for once) that we're returning in a few weeks for another Toon Hall!

Join me on Wednesday, August 7th at the Workers Action Centre (WAC) at 720 Spadina Ave. for another instalment of Toon Hall! Educator and TAAFI Chair Karen Jackson will be joining me for a conversation about all things animation, including the latest news and the current state of our industry. This event will include our usual moderated town hall-style forum where animation workers are invited to come and discuss their experiences and the relevant issues of the day 🏁
Karen Jackson was meant to appear at our May Day event, however she was unable to due to scheduling mistakes on our end. I’m glad she’s up for another go at this!
Karen Jackson is the newest Chair for TAAFI. As TAAFl's first female chair, Karen is excited to bring with her new ideas and efforts in increasing inclusion and diversity into TAAFl's events. Karen has worked tirelessly for TAAFI for many years and is proud to have the opportunity to continue building TAAFI towards further success. Karen currently works at Seneca Polytechnic and has over a decade of experience in the Animation Industry bringing with her a strong background in managing teams, organizing events, building event and organizational pipelines and running the business.
Accessibility: This event is free. The Workers Action Centre has a wheelchair accessible automatic main entrance. I are working to get more venue accessibility info and I update you as I know more. If you have any specific accommodation requests please get in contact via cartune@protonmail.com
Hope to see you there!
