Free Online Live Coding Workshop (Wednesday Feb. 23rd at 6:30pm EST)
Hello Everyone,
Tomorrow night (February 23rd at 6:30pm EST) I will be hosting a free online workshop devoted to the practice of live coding using the Estuary Collaborative Live Coding platform. If you’ve been interested in the workshops I’ve been running but haven’t been able to attend in person, this is your chance to check it out from the comfort of your home. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and the Google Chrome browser (Microsoft Edge also works). The New Haven Free Public Library is hosting the Zoom session and more information about joining the Zoom can be found on their page.
During the workshop, you will be introduced to the Estuary Collaborative Live Coding Platform where we will learn about the MiniTidal/TidalCycles musical pattern language and the Hydra online video synth. After the workshop you will have the knowledge you'll need to continue your exploration of live coding on your own. Since all these platforms and tools are open-source you can continue to explore them without having to purchase any additional equipment or software.
More info about the workshops are listed here and the direct link to the event is here on the New Haven Free Public Library's page.
