Noticings 9: Join us to talk about creative policy!
October at Careful Trouble
As we move to shorter days and colder evenings, we're making an extra effort to catch up with everyone before the year ends! That's why we'd love to see you at our upcoming event towards the end of November.
The new Data (Use and Access) Bill
The Government's new Data (Use and Access) Bill was published yesterday, and it includes plans for making a trust mark and a register so that private companies can provide identity verification services.
However, we undertook public polling undertaken in August that shows only 25% of people would feel comfortable using a service created by a small tech company to prove who they are, and only 30% would trust a big tech company to do the same. Overall our research shows the public wants the Government to step up and help them prove who they are, not hand the keys to their identity over to industry.
Join us on 19th November for Creating Futures Policy!
Next month, we’re hosting a half day unconference sharing and shaping ideas for artificial intelligence (AI) policy in the cultural and creative industries. The aim is to produce a report of the day’s findings that can include a rapid response to the government’s Industrial Strategy open consultation.
Join creative practitioners, researchers and industry representatives as we facilitate conversations about the future of creative industries.
🗓 Tues 19th November
⏲️ 12:00 - 16:00
