Noticings 14: Dos and don'ts of GenAI

April at Careful Industries

Over the past month, we’ve reflected on what we’ve learnt about individuals assessing their response to GenAI. Whilst we’ve shared our thoughts in a blog post. It’s also a topic that has come up in our upcoming training sessions.

Over the last year, Careful Industries has worked closely with people getting to grips with whether they should, or shouldn’t, use Generative AI in the workplace. In our latest blog post, we share seven things to bear in mind and three “responsible-ish” strategies for using Generative AI to generate text.

“There is no hard and fast rule here; while organisational, institutional, and governmental decisions about AI bring with them moral and ethical consequences, at an individual level making decisions about thriving, inclusion, and access come with a different set of considerations.”

Join our AI Impacts 101 Workshops

“Rachel has the ability to simply explain the complexity of AI. The session was packed with insightful and useful information and provided a clear understanding of this sector and its developing uses and applications.” -Workshop Participant

We have two more AI 101 Impact workshops coming up! During these 90 minute training sessions, we’ll move beyond the hype to share some of AI's environmental and social impacts.

We’ve found that these sessions have not only helped build up people’s knowledge of AI systems, but also begun to connect people across sectors who are facing similar struggles.
