Noticings 10: Meet Ups and Montenegro
November at Careful Trouble
As winter settles in we’ve had a busy month, traveling to chat to people about AI, community powered tech and digital inclusion.
We’ve also been developing a theory of change for a client. While we can’t share the details just yet, please reach out if you’re interested in learning more about our process!
This will be our last regular newsletter of the year. Instead, next month, we’ll be sharing a special edition which rounds up 2024!
Creating AI Policies

A big thank you to everyone who joined us last week in Salford for ‘Creating Policy Futures’, to discuss AI policy and the creative industries.
We brought together academics, artists, cultural producers, tech experts, policy leads, and more for an afternoon to discuss the limits and opportunities of AI.
The conversation across the afternoon saw common threads of addressing local needs, developing critical digital literacy skills, and looking for offline solutions.
The event was in partnership with Responsible AI UK.
Join the next Community Tech Meet Up

This month, we brought together community technologists, funders and researchers to talk about how to make inclusive, community-driven innovation the new normal.
This hybrid event saw two in person groups in Bristol and London join online participants from across the UK. Together, we spoke about the drivers for progressive tech.
Following on from this successful roundtable, we're excited to invite you to our next Community Tech Winter Gathering ❄️
Join us at Battersea Arts Centre for half a day to meet new people and share your thoughts on the future of community tech.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
🗓 Thurs 30th January
⏲️ 12:30 - 16:30
📍 Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill, London SW11 5TN
