You hit ⌥C from anywhere — a browser, a PDF, a YouTube video, a Slack thread — and a popup appears with everything you were looking at: the source URL, the page title, the text you highlighted already saved to frontmatter. Type a thought, tag it, hit ⏎Return. It lands in your Obsidian vault as a clean markdown note.

Or — if the thought belongs with something you've already started like a Daily Note — Hit ⌘D to change the destination from a folder to a note, and it appends. No file-tree archaeology. No "where did I save that thing about X."
