Hands‑On Season Starts: March Highlights & April Meetup

March recap, April’s hands‑on meetup, and our booth at the No Kings rally

🌀 Mesh Dispatch: Regional Planning, April Meetup & March Recap

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the March meetup — and welcome to the new subscribers. This month continued our momentum as we paired community‑grounded organizing with the first public draft of our regional LoRa deployment plan.

Here’s a quick look at March’s highlights and what’s ahead for April 1st.

🌐 March Recap: Mutual Aid + LoRa Strategy

March’s session opened with a grounding introduction to mutual aid — exploring how solidarity, shared responsibility, and decentralized decision‑making shape the way Capital Region Mesh organizes and builds.

After the break, the LoRa Strategy Working Group presented its first coordinated regional deployment proposal, outlining early coverage goals, recommended node types, and opportunities for volunteers to plug into spring fieldwork.

🛠️ April Meetup: Mesh Open House + LoRa Voice Mesh

Our next gathering is on Wednesday, April 1st, again at the UU Church in Concord. This month is all about hands‑on learning and emerging capabilities:

  • Mesh Open House — Flashing devices, configuring radios, joining MeshCore rooms, and helping new users get fully onboarded
  • Experiments with LoRa Voice — A look at early digital voice capabilities over LoRa 2.4 GHz within the Meshtastic ecosystem
  • Working Session — Testing opportunities, volunteer roles, and spring deployments

👉 Event details & RSVP

If you’ve been waiting for a good moment to get your device set up — or to see what’s possible with the new 2.4 GHz voice experiments — this is the meetup to attend.

🏛️ Come See Us at the No Kings Rally — March 28

This month, instead of our usual community‑outreach call to action, we’re inviting you to come visit the Capital Region Mesh booth at the No Kings rally:

📅 Saturday, March 28, 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
📍 New Hampshire Statehouse, Concord

We’ll be there all afternoon sharing demos, answering questions, and connecting with people interested in decentralized communication, community resilience, and off‑grid tools. If you’ve been meaning to introduce a friend to the project, this is a perfect opportunity. We’ll have plenty of useful handouts and free buttons!

Stop by, say hello, and help us spread the word.

💬 Stay Connected

Thanks to everyone contributing ideas, testing hardware, and helping shape the direction of the project. Your involvement directly influences our organizational goals and helps us implement the next phase of our regional mesh.
