We're not running this one, but we're getting behind it.

The Lord Mayor of Canterbury is hosting a charity gig night on Friday 30 October at Westgate Hall, raising funds for the Kent Neuro Therapy Centre. Four local bands, one good cause, and a proper night out.

The Lord Mayor's Charity Gig Night Friday 30 October, 6.30pm to 11pm Westgate Hall, Canterbury Tickets £25

The line-up:

Polo Lounge: a four-piece indie rock band from Canterbury. Pulse-pounding energy and hooks that stick.

Crysometimes: raw energy meets introspective lyricism, all original songs. BBC Kent Introducing's next big thing.

Gypskazz: ska, but not like you've heard it before. A six-piece on wood, brass, and strings, blending ska and gypsy jazz to get your feet moving. You might have caught them at the Canterbury City Show this summer.

Suncharmer: a high-energy rock quartet from the South-East. Soaring anthems, moody rock, hooks galore.
