🔸 Cantata Newsletter #8: New Screenshots!
#8: New Screenshots!
Welcome to the eighth-est edition of the Cantata newsletter! This one is a bit of a calm before the storm. I’ve been doing a ton of work on Cantata over the past few months and am finally ready to start sharing it out.
I’ve got a new developer video cooking, but am also in the process of moving apartments so that likely won’t happen until later next week.
In the meantime, I took a few new screenshots of the game that showcase the work I’ve been doing, and am really excited to tell you all more about it when the new video comes out!
New Screenshots!
So without further adieu, check out some of the new screenshots below! The key things to point out are a totally re-imagined UI system, some previews at some new tiles, and some other features I’m excited to talk about soon like unit-specific build queues!
Hope you liked this small taste! Again, much more to come soon!
ICYMI: Devlog Video #2 Out!
The response was pretty good to the last development video, so I’m happy to be able to put out a new one! In this one I go over some of the intricacies of outlining tiles, drawing grids, and general UX around the placement of infrastructure!
Watch and discuss Devlog #2 Here
Feel free to respond to this email with any questions, feedback, etc.! I’m always excited to hear what the community thinks!
As a reminder, Cantata is a small game by a small team, so any sharing or word of mouth helps the game out! If you like what you see, tell your friends!
