The new album is coming + shows to kick off spring

Happy spring!

It's been a little while since I've written and I wanted to fill you in on some of the exciting things that are coming up.

New album coming April 19th!

First off, I'm actually brimming with excitement for my new album I'm currently putting the final touches on. It's called Prosthetic and it features Julius Tucker on keyboards and Aidan Epstein on bass. This project captures the empathy of performance that I think can be tough to re-create in the studio. We recorded the whole thing in a single afternoon last July when life was just starting to open back up. It's definitely the best drumming I've done on record and my collaborators sound absolutely amazing. The digital album will go live April 19th, and I will be launching a campaign to get the project on vinyl, so stay tuned. If you've been on this journey with me for any amount of time I really think you have something to look forward to.

Shows to enjoy in person or at home

I've got some performances coming up I'd like you to know about.

Tomorrow March 24th I'm doing a radio performance at 10pm central with the quartet of myself, Trevor Hill on sax, Lyn Rye on bass and Stephanie Alma on vocals. We'll be doing some joyful folk-inspired acoustic jazz. We're playing on WZRD 88.3 Chicago. You can tune through FM if you're in the area, use your radio app of choice, or go to their website at www.wzrdchicago.org

April 3rd that same quartet will be performing a set at Jarvis Square Pottery (1443 W Jarvis Ave) in Rogers Park. Aidan Epstein, who plays on the new record, is bringing his band from Pitsburg to round out the bill.

And last but not least, the Prosthetic trio of myself, Aidan and Julius will be performing at Fulton Street Collective on Thursday April 14th. The show will be in-person and streamed on Youtube. Save the date--more info to come! This will be a record pre-release party.

Have a great day,

Tommy
