Thank you for a musical 2022
Hello friends,
I just wanted to check in really quickly from a very cold Chicago to thank you.
Thank you for all your support this year. Whether it was sharing space with us at shows, purchasing records, or sending words of encouragement from a far, you all truly helped make this a beautiful year for me and the Calculated Discomfort family. In perpetually uncertain times, our willingness to lend each other ears and time keeps what I think are the best parts of the human experience alive.
From winter experiments with composition and improvisation, to the release of Prosthetic (on vinyl!), to mounting a whole concert in Grant Park, to new adventures with Raro (which will be recording in January) and countless other musical experiences, this was a validating and rewarding year for me. I'm looking forward to giving more back in the new year in the form of even more sonic experiences with Calculated Discomfort, and accessible and invigorating events presented by Cuerpos Justificados (Justified Bodies).
For now stay safe, stay warm, and I hope you can enjoy time with loved ones--whether in-person or remotely.
