One concert, two bands this Friday
Good morning!
Just a quick reminder that the Invisible Trio (psychedelic improv band I'm a part of) makes it's debut this Friday at Jarvis Suare Pottery. The shop is located at 1443 W Jarvis Ave (Jarvis and Greenview). Doors at 7:30, Tommy Carroll Trio at 8, and the Invisible Trio plays at 9!

About the Invisible Trio
The Invisible Trio is me, Stephanie Alma and Greg Kelchner. It’s hard to accurately describe exactly how important being a part of this band has been for me, even though our first real performance isn’t until this Friday. During a time when it was still very uncertain when I’d be able to do the thing that gives me the most meaning in life again, this group offered camaraderie, exploration and joy. It’s a pretty life-affirming experience to create from scratch with your partner and a great friend.
We’re called the Invisible Trio for a few reasons.
1. We try to make our music a theater for the mind where you can really imagine yourself sinking into the musical environments we build
2. Our only performances so far have been live streams, so are we even really a band yet?!?!? (We jokingly called ourselves the Imaginary Band for a bit). And
3. Though it’s not the main point of the band, we are all either blind or visually impaired, and are always frustrated about how people overly focus on the visual side of things, so we want to make it clear this is a sonic experience!
Come check us out next Friday 9/10 at the Jarvis Square Pottery. We’re going to turn that room into a sound bath.
