New release and new show incoming...
Good morning friends!
Two quick but exciting announcements this week.
First off, this Friday I will be releasing Sound Sculpture: Live at the Art Institute of Chicago, which documents my quartet's performance at the museum at the end of last year. It's a beautiful recording and it's going to be available on all streaming platforms and for digital purchase via Bandcamp.
In fact, you can listen to the first track right now!
Stream Surfing on Gravity Waves, and read more about the album here.
Secondly, my next bandleader performance is coming up Friday April 11th.
The quartet of myself, David Boykin (saxophones), Lyn Rye (bass), and Marcos Rios (guitar) will be playing two sets of music at Lemon from 8-10pm on the 11th.
I've been doing trio with David and Marcos separately for the past few months, so I'm excited to finally put the whole group together. Lemon is another new cocktail spot that's supporting live jazz, and I'm excited to bandlead there for the first time.
That's all for now. I'll be back in your inbox Friday morning with the official live album release!
Have a great day,
Tommy
