Join me for the first outdoor concert of the season

Hi friends!

As beautiful weather begins to sweep its way into town, I want to invite you to a performance on May 31st.

Synthesizer player Kyle Werle and I will be debuting our Plutonian Research Society project in Logan Square's Unity Park on Saturday May 31st. Our performance will be part of a whole night of live electronic music in the outdoors. I actually attended this event last year as a listener, and I have to say sitting on a blanket with the sounds of synthesizers wafting over me was a really nice experience.

Kyle and I have been experimenting for over a year now with combining acoustic drums with analogue synthesizers--playing everything live without a computer! This project is definitely something different than my normal output, but it uses the same drumming skillset I bring to every project. I find it very inspiring hering my beats and strokes being transformed into worlds of sound in real time, and I think you will too. It gets equal parts dancy, etherial and spooky.

The event is free and starts at 7pm at 2636 N Kimball Ave! We'll also be releasing a recording that day. More soon.

About The Plutonian Research Society

It's the year 2530 and humanity now inhabits our entire solar system. The inhospitable icey Pluto, however, remains so harsh that the government doesn't expend effort monitoring it. If you have the money and resources (and grit), you're welcome to use the planet as you please... And dark money researchers are doing just that. What could go wrong?

This project is part of my fictional Prosthetic Universe, of which this is just the beginning.

Have a great day,

Tommy
