Join me at the Art Institute of Chicago next week
Every December since 2018, I've done an end-of-year show called the Winter Clearance Event. It's usually at a more informal venue or gallery, but this year we're going way above ground.
Next Thursday December 26th Calculated Discomfort will play an afternoon show and an evening show at the Art Institute of Chicago.
I've written some new music and curated some past compositions to highlight this stellar band. The lineup features the dual saxophones of David Boykin and Beau Barry anchored by the rhythm section of Lyn Rye on bass and myself on drums and percussion. With these distinct personalities, it's sure to be a spirited and engaging event.
The shows take place at 1pm and 6pm in the grand staircase off the Michigan Ave entrance.
The event is free with museum admission, so you can have a day full of art and sound.
