Hello, all! I hope the summer has been treating you well so far.

The biggest and most exciting update: Out for Delivery has been updated! While the text of the game is the same, I’ve created some new illustrations and made some formatting changes (primarily to improve the print copies of the game). I’m so pleased with how the cover turned out. I wrote a little about the update on my itch page.

Progress on What a Lovely Island has begun, albeit slowly. Because my degree is in illustration, my thesis project focused on the illustrations. This has left a lot of work to be done with the mechanics. I’ve started exploring much earlier concepts of the game, which involved dozens of mini games, as well as ways to further incorporate drawing into gameplay. WALI continues to be my most ambitious game to date, and I thank you all for your patience as I continue finding its shape.

I continue to think a lot about artistic voice and intuition. Once more time has passed, I hope to reflect on how art school has shaped my own (or rather, made it harder to find). I want to spend the next month immersing myself in fantasy as a genre to see what resonates with me. Any recommendations for media (especially ones with a visual component)? Current plans include visiting the Witch Hat Atelier manga after enjoying the anime and raiding my local library’s DVD section.
