Alien Queen Gestation

The Spring Equinox is nearly upon us, and I have some seasonal updates for you.

A magenta humanoid alien in a high contrast grid, composed of a cross of light and dark parks covered in spikey scales, with yellow insectoid eyes, gesturing around a flaming eight pointed star.
Yumerbolc (Solaroids 1), Feb 2026, oil on canvas, 16x28

I’m two paintings into an eight painting sequel cycle to Lunoids, Solaroids, featuring surreal/psychedelic processing of poses from community models into “aliens”, which similarly maps color to time through the wheel of the year and planets in our system.

Painting of a purple humanoid alien seated leaning figure facing you, delineated with green vines in a swirling abstract yellow environment, sprouting blue eyes and eight petalled flowers. They have elf ears, black eyes, plantlike form where their mouth would be, a blue cockscomb, heart on their chests, and a cloudlike, swirling segmentation to their body and face.
Imvestarx, Solaroids 2, 2026, oil on canvas, 24x24in.

These have a more forgiving schedule, so expect other series, portraits and such to squeeze in between them. Even commissions, if you ask! I may try to crowdfund again mid-year to help cover studio rent, and make a calendar poster. Consider this tentatively trying to gauge interest in the project - although I am sort of locked in compulsively regardless.

Psychedelic painting primarily in yellow with green, brown and purple elements, of bound segmented stalks with grass leaves sprouting from them, cut away in parts to a concentric diagram of cells around cells around tubes. Clusters of kernels extend out diagonally behind them.

Paleofacture 27, 2026, oil on canvas, 16x16in.

For example, I managed to churn out what should be the penultimate paintings in Paleofacture and Analog Imagination (which prompts are now closed for, but clearly the better version is youraislopbores.me)

A calico and orange tabby cat playing on a parquet floor while human feet in formal wear dance behind them.

Two earlier, transfem Beloved Monsters will feature in Yas, Queen! at LIC-A’s Factory gallery space, opening March 18. Check it out if you’re around.

The New York Academy Alumni Association filmed an insta reel with me that should go up today. It was a little awkward but please share! I mostly talk about Lunoids, which there are still a few calendars left for, and always prints.

I've been surprisingly productive for someone who's going to have a baby in 7 weeks. Which reminds me, I should do that self portrait next!
