Issue #41

Hello <>,

Happy Spring! Apple announced new AirTags, Apple TV, and more at its annual spring event.

Apple finally announced the long awaited AirTags. Priced at $29 each or $99 for a 4-pack. This looks like a solid entry in the lost item finding market (whatever it'd be called). The AirTags will used the U1 chip which will mean newer iPhone models can use a variety of input to provide more information as to where these tags are located. As a developer, I'm interested to see there's any capabilities for us to take advantage of.

Apple unveiled their first Apple Silicon iMac. The new iMac with a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display looks to pack the same punch as the previous M1 models. This looks to be more focused on consumers and the education market so a developer who produces videos may not be as interested. However this looks like a solid upgrade if it's anything like previous M1 Macs.

Last but not least it looks like the iPad Pro is getting the M1 just like the new iMac and Mac Books from 2020. This is massive upgrade which continue to push the capabilities of what apps can do on the iPad and of course blur the line between iPad and Mac.

So are you getting a new iMac or maybe some AirTags? What are your plans?

Reply to the email and let me know. Talk to you soon about App Store approval challenges in the next issue 😁

Thanks! Leo
