BrightDigit Newsletter

Issue #18

Hello <>,

I am sure your inbox hasn't been this inundated with letters from CEOs since GDPR. But I wanted to cover two topics of interest: WWDC Online and remote work.

Apple has just announced that WWDC this year will be a new online experience: The silver lining to this is that perhaps WWDC can be more accessible in the future by making the online experience more robust. I highly recommend checking out As we get closer and closer to the event I'll be posting my predictions for WWDC 2020 and the future of Apple.

The current health situation has required that we create a new WWDC 2020 format that delivers a full program with an online keynote and sessions, offering a great learning experience for our entire developer community, all around the world. We will be sharing all of the details in the weeks ahead.” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

We are available for new projects. Do you need help with a custom solution for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch? Send me a reply and let me know how I can help.

Having worked remotely for almost 10 years, I can attest that it can be a challenge for many workers and companies. So here are a few quick tips: If you are interested in a great set of apps to help you and your team work remotely, check out my blog post on productivity apps. Most importantly be easy on yourself and make sure to follow the right guidelines to try and stay healthy.

  • Stay Connected but Stay Asynchronous Asynchronous means that when you send a message out - don't expect a reply right away. While many managers demand quick replies, we know interrupting people as they work can be very detrimental to their productivity
  • Have a Specific Place and Time for Work There are two problems when you don't have a specific place and time. It allows you to be distracted but it can also result in you not having boundaries. Without those boundaries, you can find yourself working anytime and all the time. In the end, that can hurt your productivity but also your health.
  • Have Water Cooler Breaks At an office, we find ourselves talking to fellow employees at the break room or at their cubicle. Make sure to do the same at home. Take 15 minute break every 2 - 3 hours: grab a cup of coffee, go on a short walk, watch a quick YouTube video, etc...

I wish you good health for you and your family. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Thanks, Leo
