I still got to get this off my chest about week 1 since we didn’t have this newsletter yet!
Are you kidding me, Coach?! We barely scraped by against the Packers with a 34-29 win, and you’re acting like this is something to be proud of? South Philly expects excellence, not squeaking through games we should dominate!
First off, how is Jalen Hurts still fumbling and throwing picks like it’s his rookie season? You can’t turn the ball over twice in the first quarter and expect that to fly here. We're supposed to be Super Bowl contenders, not a team making rookie mistakes! And Saquon Barkley—yeah, he had three TDs, but it took him 24 carries to break 100 yards! I need more than that for what we’re paying him!
And the defense? Don’t get me started. Letting some guy like Jayden Reed burn us for a 70-yard TD? Where’s the pass rush? Where’s the secondary? You want us to celebrate because Zack Baun had 15 tackles? Great, but where was everyone else? We gave up 29 points! The Packers should never be in this game—this isn’t Lambeau, it’s Philly, and we expect to make teams regret stepping onto that field.
We want dominance. Not barely escaping with a win because Jordan Love decided to gift-wrap it for us at the end. Get it together, Coach. This ain’t good enough for Philly!
