Server Upgrades and What's Next
Server Upgrades
This past week we have been busy overhauling our server architecture. We’ve increased Bluesky Feed Creator’s resources significantly to ensure we can handle new influxes of users to Bluesky, while still providing you with the level of service you have come to expect. This work also means that it’s really easy for us to further increase capacity as and where needed.
As a result of this restructure, our website and feeds load much faster, and they’re more resilient to large spikes in activity on the Bluesky network. Yesterday’s average reponse time was under 85 milliseconds!

If you have tried us in the past, now would be a great time to come back and see what we’ve been up to!
Welcoming the “Birds! 🦉” feed
Recently we helped @daryllmarie migrate all her very popular animal based feeds, including:
This has been a fantastic opportunity for us to understand and optimise the user experience of super popular feeds that get up to 10K views per day.
We are very grateful that Daryll trusted us to take on the challenge.
What’s Next
Next, we’ll dedicate some time to fixing bugs. Thank you so much to everybody who takes the time to report them! It really helps us out when something gets around our logging systems. Bug fixing is never big, exciting news, but it is the bread and butter - and makes the system work better for users.
We also want to take a closer look at how we could improve the moderation process for our users. For instance, quote posts don’t necessarily behave in the way we would expect, so we’ll be tidying those up a bit and adjusting the moderation experience to be more efficient for feed administrators.
After that, we have got something big and exciting lined up, for users who want to broaden the conversations in their feed to include more on-topic content. Watch this space for a great new feature which we think could be a game changer.
You can take a look at our public roadmap here. If you have a Trello account, you can also vote on things which you think we should prioritise. This provides us with helpful data when we’re deciding where to go next.
