New in February 2025
Super Bowl LIX
We took the Super Bowl as an opportunity to stress test Bluesky Feed Creator. We ran a Super Bowl LIX feed which picked up an outrageous number of posts in the lead up to, and during the game, capturing and displaying over 50,000 posts on the day (regrettably, we didn't keep track of how many of them mentioned Kendrick and/or Drake ...).
The Philadelphia Eagles fan feed is hosted on BSFC too, and you bet it was busy during the game! It picked up 19,500 posts on Super Bowl Sunday and was viewed over 26,000 times.
New features!
Donate shortcode
Your feed viewers can now donate directly to you on Bluesky Feed Creator, and their donation is applied as a credit to your account. Use the shortcode [donate] on your public page to create the button.
Donations are not subject to fees; the entirety of what is donated applies to your account. The donate shortcode is available to all users, including those currently on free accounts.

Private lists
You can now create a list inside Bluesky Feed Creator to use as an input for a feed. These lists are hosted only in BSFC, not on your Bluesky profile. They are unsearchable, except by you! This means people on the lists don't know about it. Inside My synced lists you'll find the "Create private list" option.
You can enter a name and description for the list and then, once you click Save, you'll have more options available to help you put the list together.
You can add users by handle (which we've made really easy to do in bulk - you can separate users with commas or by putting each on a new line), or by importing an existing list.
Once you've got your private lists, they work exactly like synced lists - you can set particular posting permissions by list, or give different lists different inclusion terms, and so on.
New synced list option: users who have liked a feed
Head to My Synced Lists in the sidebar menu to find this new option. It's behind the blue Import from Bluesky button. You'll need a link to the feed.
Important to note that liking a feed is indicated with the heart emoji in Bluesky. It is not the same as pinning a feed (data that we can't get from Bluesky)! If you're using this, be clear that your feed viewers need to click the heart to be added to the list.

Bulk moderation actions
You can now approve, deny, delete, show, or hide a group of posts simultaneously. It works on all posts on the screen at the time, so it's most useful in the Manual Approval area. In the other columns, however, you can narrow down a list of posts using the search box - great if you've identified a troublesome inclusion term.
You will need to type in the intention before BSFC will do it, to make it less likely users delete anything crucial.
We have plans to make this a pointier tool later on!
More new features and tweaks
- You can now switch between vertical video (Tiktok display) and normal content mode, for video feeds. This toggle is at the top of your feed dashboard, below the feed description. Vertical video only works on mobile - feeds using this, viewed in a browser, will look the same as before.

- You can now make images all show instead of needing to individually open them in the Manual Approval queue, using the buttons below the Listen for new posts toggle. Images will still be collapsed/hidden for posts which have been hidden from the feed.

- There could be a long wait time when you opened a synced list inside Allowed Users and Lists; this has now been optimised so is much faster.
- You can now collapse parts of your feed dashboard to help you get to the posts if that's where you're going. Look for the down arrows - there's two in this screenshot on the right hand side. These now remember what you've collapsed down, and display the same way when you close and reopen BSFC.

- If that's not quick enough, why not try the Scroll to posts button at the top?

- You can now toggle off/on automatic invite requests when someone replies to your pinned post in a restricted feed.

- When a new user is added as an Allowed User and they were already an allowed user because of being on a list, their poster permissions are automatically inherited from the list, not from the default permissions.
More help
- We clarified the character limits for the title, feed path and description limits for feeds.

Bug fixes in February
This is not a complete list!
- Feeds could stop listening for posts properly due to handles being invalidated.
- Hashtags with dashes could be partially matched (text before/after the dash).
- Pinned posts could cause missing posts between the first loaded set of posts and subsequent sets.
