With Pat Schneider

Hi there.

This month’s notable quote comes from Writing Alone and With Others by Pat Schneider:

The Five Essential Affirmations:

  1. Everyone has a strong, unique voice.

  2. Everyone is born with creative genius.

  3. Writing as an art form belongs to all people, regardless of economic class or education level.

  4. The teaching of craft can be done without damage to a writer’s original voice or artistic self-esteem.

  5. A writer is someone who writes.

You’re a writer, and your voice matters. There’s no need to sound like someone else. The way you write is correct, and your ideas are worth sharing 💚

Keep writing.

Camille

P.S. Speaking of getting feedback, our next co-writing/peer feedback session will be Tuesday, April 1 from 12-1:30 pm ET. During co-writing, you’ll spend an hour working independently on your next newsletter draft, followed by 30 minutes of optional peer review. To join us for co-writing, you can upgrade to the premium version of this newsletter.

Hi. I’m Camille Freeman.

I’m an herbalist, nutritionist, and educator. I’ve built my business largely with the help of my (other) newsletter. I write this newsletter to support other newsletter writers, because I know how much of a difference it makes and how hard it can be to keep writing. Remember: write regularly, sound like yourself, and focus on sending things that matter to your readers. If you haven’t already, please check out my book: Write Better Newsletters.
