What the community is doing
Jonathan Mrutu is Black Python Devs latest Contributor
Jonathan is a developer from the community who answered the call when we asked for someone to help keep the Swahili translations up to date.
We wanted to go with a human translation as we want to preserve the cultural style of our voices. Human translations also serve as an excellent source for a first contribution to open-source.
Black Python Devs will be at PyCon US
We're getting ready for this year's PyCon US in Pittsburgh. Our plan is to show up and represent the community strong! We have many plans already and are working out the details on a few more.
If you're looking to learn more in person about what we're doing at Black Python Devs, PyCon US will be the place to find out more!
We're sponsoring PyTexas
We're proud to announce that PyTexas is our first conference community sponsorship.
PyTexas is one of the longest running regional Python conferences in the US. the PyTexas foundation is working to build more
This year we are giving 4 tickets to PyTexas away to Texas and nearby Black Pythonistas to attend.
