5 new AI agents landed today — from pizza to real estate

Five new consumer AI agents landed on our radar today, spanning pizza ordering to real-estate search, plus fresh reception signal on two India WhatsApp bots and a five-platform check-in on Accenture, Amazon, Anthropic, AWS, and Bain & Company.

New launches

Papa Johns launches Google Gemini-powered voice-and-text AI ordering agent

One of the largest pizza delivery chains in the US and globally.

Papa Johns and Google Cloud jointly launched a unified voice-and-text AI ordering agent built on Gemini, the first deployment of Google Cloud's new omnichannel food-ordering solution. It's designed to operate across mobile apps, websites, phone orders, kiosks and in-car systems, and aims to reduce pain points like figuring out how much pizza to order for advance and group orders. Rollout is planned systemwide across Papa Johns through the rest of 2026.

Realtor.com launches RealAssist AI, a Gemini-powered conversational home search

One of the largest home-listing and real-estate search platforms in the US, operated by Move, Inc.

RealAssist AI is an AI-first home search experience built with Google's Gemini that lets buyers search the way they naturally talk, from the first open-ended question through pre-search and discovery to connecting with an agent. It surfaces commute times and helps buyers explore neighborhoods by highlighting local parks and businesses, mapping a full daily routine for any neighborhood under consideration.

How to try it: Available in beta to a select group of logged-in Realtor.com users across desktop, the Realtor.com app, and mobile web, with full availability rolling out over time.

Real Brokerage launches HeyLeo, a conversational AI home-search concierge for buyers

Fast-growing US real estate brokerage (Nasdaq: REAX) built around a proprietary AI-powered agent platform.

HeyLeo is a conversational AI real-estate concierge, unveiled at Real's RISE 2025 agent conference, that lets home buyers search for properties by texting or calling a dedicated number and describing what they want in natural language rather than using filters, matching homes to lifestyle as well as budget. Built on Real's proprietary reZEN platform and incorporating technology from Real's acquisition of Flyhomes' consumer search portal.

How to try it: Beta available at HeyLeo.com in select markets across 20 US states; buyers can also text a participating agent's dedicated HeyLeo number as if messaging the agent directly.

CarGurus brings its AI shopping assistant Guru to Canada

Leading online automotive marketplace for buying and selling used cars in North America.

Guru is a conversational AI shopping assistant on CarGurus' Canadian site that lets car shoppers describe what they're looking for in natural language instead of using traditional search filters, combining real-time listing data, CarGurus' own pricing data, shopper search signals and vehicle reviews to generate personalized recommendations. Announced to mark CarGurus' 10th anniversary in Canada, following an earlier US debut of the same tool.

Fresha launches AI Concierge, a 24/7 receptionist that answers calls and texts and books appointments

Leading global booking, payments and business-management platform for the beauty and wellness industry.

Launched alongside Fresha Connect, AI Concierge answers inbound calls and texts for a salon or spa and books, reschedules and cancels appointments directly in the business's live Fresha calendar 24/7, using its services, staff availability and client history. It's distinct from Fresha's separate ChatGPT/Claude native-booking integration covered here previously — this is Fresha's own first-party receptionist product, sold as an add-on to Fresha Business accounts.

Reception updates

Nilkamal (via Haptik) — WhatsApp Gen AI Sales Assistant

Launched 2 weeks ago (September 2026): Nilkamal's Head of Customer Success (quoted via Haptik) described the WhatsApp Gen AI Sales Assistant positively — it responds to complex product queries (utility, color, pricing) in multiple Indian languages, turns conversations into orders, lets customers track order/refund status, and has reduced dependency on human support agents in its phase-1 rollout. This is a vendor-published client case study (Haptik's own account of its client), not independent verification.

PVR INOX (Movie Jockey) — WhatsApp movie booking bot

Launched 1 week ago (September 2026): Coverage found is a Haptik-published client case study (not independent press) describing Movie Jockey as genuinely agentic rather than scripted FAQ: it books tickets, orders snacks, and gives real-time personalized recommendations by language, location, showtime and genre, plus practical info like wheelchair-accessible screenings and subtitle availability, across six languages. No independent reviews or user/social sentiment about the bot itself were found.

Platform Watch

  • Accenture: mixed signals — a March 2026 partnership with Databricks aims to scale enterprise AI-agent adoption for joint customers, but independent surveys cited show real agent usage actually slipped (32% of respondents regularly working with AI agents, down from 42% months earlier) and over half reported productivity losses from low-quality AI outputs. (newsroom.accenture.com, ciodive.com)
  • Amazon: retired the standalone Rufus shopping chatbot on May 13, 2026 in favor of "Alexa for Shopping," now built directly into the search bar rather than a separate panel shoppers had to opt into — Rufus reached 300M+ users but remained a feature "most shoppers never opened." (customerexperiencedive.com)
  • Anthropic: crossed OpenAI in enterprise business-adoption share for the first time in May 2026 (34.4% vs 32.3%), now serves 300,000+ business customers with 1,000+ spending $1M+/year, and annualized revenue passed $30B by April 2026 — enterprises cite reliability and long-context handling as the draw. (eweek.com, cryptonomist.ch)
  • AWS: Bedrock added more customers in the past six months than in its first two years combined, and Southwest Airlines signed on as a major new customer to modernize onto AWS's AI/agent-enabled infrastructure — but a March 2026 wave of Amazon.com outages was internally linked to a "trend of incidents" tied to Gen-AI-assisted engineering changes, a cautionary note on agentic-AI governance risk. (futurumgroup.com, wharton.upenn.edu)
  • Bain & Company: named a "Global Premier" partner in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network in August 2026 to deliver enterprise AI transformations for clients; internally, 7,000+ Bain employees adopted Claude within weeks of its rollout, and a Bain survey found 83% of 100+ CFOs surveyed plan to raise AI spending 15%+ over two years. (bain.com)
